I’m sure most of you have heard about Loyola Law School’s (Los Angeles) retroactive grade inflation for student GPAs. Stephen Colbert decided to take a shot at the school on his “I’s on Edjukashun” segment from the Colbert Report. He also took shots at the Texas School Board’s attempt to rewrite history in new textbooks and Wal-Mart’s aims to give college credit.

About two weeks ago, I read an article on Harvard Business Review titled, “Why I Returned My iPad.” A first glance, I thought it would be about how terrible the iPad is. However, it turned out to be a great article about the value of boredom and how over-consumption stifles creativity and innovation. Here’s my favorite quote, describing unproductive moments: “They are the moments in which we, often unconsciously, organize our minds, make sense of our lives, and connect the dots. They’re the moments in which we talk to ourselves. And listen.”
