About two weeks ago, I read an article on Harvard Business Review titled, “Why I Returned My iPad.” A first glance, I thought it would be about how terrible the iPad is. However, it turned out to be a great article about the value of boredom and how over-consumption stifles creativity and innovation. Here’s my favorite quote, describing unproductive moments: “They are the moments in which we, often unconsciously, organize our minds, make sense of our lives, and connect the dots. They’re the moments in which we talk to ourselves. And listen.”

A lot of people have been calling for the death of Auto-tune and its use in music. I didn’t feel that strongly either pro or con until today. This video is evidence that its use has gone WAY TOO FAR and must end… immediately.

I sometimes revert to laziness and fail to read boilerplate language in contracts. I’m sure we all do it at times (think about clicking “I agree” to computer application terms and conditions). But as lawyers/law students/aspiring lawyers, should we hold ourselves to higher standards? Well, as it turns out, even some JUDGES fail to read boilerplate…
